I had a really good time working on this. the pose is based on the portlandia statue in Portland, OR. The art director of Willamette Week is so cool and a total dream to work with. Good times all around. I really love Portland these days...

he is a bit of a spazatron but this is important. looking around at my world sometimes... i don't know. i just feel like i am looking around at a bunch of fellow cavemen. we are laughable.

I am pretty happy about this. Topaz design is a design firm in Portland, Or. They are great people and they used me for my stint in Beer Advocate magazine. I noticed on their site that they set up a "resources" section that lists the illustrators and the photographers that they used. very cool. I totally recommend taking a look over there at the really good artists i got to be in a beautifully designed monthly magazine. I really enjoyed working for Beer Advocate. I love beer, especially good beer and it was an honor to illustrate for them. Follow this to look at what i did for them. Follow this, this and this when in seattle for good beer...
